After 28 Years, Sam Okwaraji’s Family Blames Government For Not Fulfilling Promises
The FAMILY of Sam Okwaraji has requested that the Federal Government satisfy its guarantee to assemble a games and youth improvement focus to pay tribute to the player who kicked the bucket while playing for the Super Eagles in a 1990 World Cup qualifier against Angola’s Palancas Negras at the National Stadium in Lagos on August 12, 1989.
Okwaraji, who was playing for German Bundesliga club Stuttgart at that point broke down amid the conflict, was affirmed dead hours after the fact.

He stated, “The games and youth advancement focus is one of the guarantees made by the Federal Government which still can’t seem to be satisfied. We will likewise organize a dedication address arrangement in his respect.”
As indicated by him, Okwaraji should have been regarded as a good example for Nigerian young people since he could join dynamic football and training and was about adjusting off his doctorate at 24 years old years before he kicked the bucket.
Uchegbulam guaranteed Pat that the affiliation would bolster the establishment.
